Now this is what I called peak Pop music. It’s not just like the mainstream Electropop, all the genre blending is very variative, both chorus and instruments are catchy balanced, without any gimmicky additional elements. And I didn’t played to the singles before just make the experience better. This is like the easy pick songs where you can play anywhere.
From an French House bop DANCE… that simply starts from an highkey beats that makes you want to hear more, BEAT UP CHANELS gives me some Synth-Funk and Phonk vibes and with more uplifting drop that insanely gives perfect point to the song. CANNIBALISM! being Post-Punk oriented with repressed drum an bass, less euphoric atmosphere for me that kinda watered down for me. OLD TECHNOLOGY and CRANK is even become an Industrial oriented with very much wall-to-wall synths, that gives me Mandy Indiana vibes so much.. but the chorus is just diabolical, not applies to CRANK. GAS STATION is more like vanilla Electro House song that you can find easily with very dreamy atmosphere like funky Empire Ants. YES GODDD is more like Trap with Synth-Funk, highk sounds like some Cyberpunk Arcade song, this is perfect.
Into the second half: UNKNOWN LOVERZ is more atmospheric with neo-psych synths and the vocals are very shooting. OLD FLINGS gives me 2010s Linkin Park Electropop so much like Lost In The Echo with bubbling electro synths through the whole song, easily my personal fav! I’M ACTUALLY KINDA FAMOUS is lowk like commercial break in TV with less flavorful drop than ever- ST. LOSER is full of screams with early 2010s Electroclash vibe with lesser elements and more delays. WHAT IS IT LIKE, TO BE LIKED? is very French House like the first track but with more chilly vibes. *PRAYER* is melancholic skit that have no reason to be exist in this LP.. BRITTANY MURPHY. is just magnificent, I really like the melancholic vibe here with repressed beats, and here my favorite vocals.
