Before, I won’t criticized the rule, I think it’s somehow would be an good direction from our government. Some of my generation would be hate it or just “whatever it is”. I’m also under 16 too, and I’m not getting upset at any weight on this.
Age system verification is somehow broken since so long then. Roblox is maybe an great example, it’s using an selfie technique, and the AI validating is great. Kids can simply use this feature by the intuitive UI. But what if it’s just using an simple input without.. basically anything to do? It’s an simple thing that kindergarten children even can do.
Downside
That’s the only thing I could say for now, Everybody can faking their birthday for making account, if it’s the only way they’re targeting with, it would be poor. Just browsing in Instagram, Facebook with school account tracing, you can find the kids easily. But they’re won’t even putting their birthday real. Since I was an little kid, I already feels that it would be an stupid thing. It’s already like an unwritten law that I think majority do.
I’m under 16 too, but there’s always an category of who can using social media better and poorly. The poorly one is who blind following trend in TikTok and posting selfies in Instagram that just likes the majority of my friends. They’re don’t really care about privacy and data trafficking, which is the worst point. The other ones is who make an actual works like groupwork, animations, and basically whatever good.

It’s well said I can say. Yes, it would be making kids upset, but it is for their best. And also proclaiming as the first non-west country to putting this rule. And also putting an “horrifying addiction” as the main concept of this. My little sister is also sadly getting into that addiction, but what can I do is controlling. 5 years ago, I’m have an Gachatuber thing, It’s become my everyday addiction. Watching and creating something that cringeworthy and bound by trends. I’m still remember that I cried for that, and the way that I put that into an story now is very odd. If I see kids crying for their account get lost, I would feeling it too. But it’s for the best, and my best. Remembering that thing again is really emberrassing.
